The cool and often hazy mountains, lush green valleys full of wildflowers and serpentine roads, aptly stamp Amedzofe as the “Switzerland of Ghana”.

Located in the Volta Region, Amedzope is a popular destination among Ghanaian travelers and slowly being discovered by the rest of the world because of its rich culture and captivating scenery changing with every season.

Considered to be the headquarters of the Germans, Amedzofe is 650 metres above sea level.

To get an authentic flavor of Amedzofe, you must visit the German Evangelical Missions Institute (GEMI) a cross mounted on a hill locally known as “Gayito” which is as noteworthy as the Great walls of China.

Very educative and well written. I have been struggling to understand the Adomorobe problem for the last 30 something years. Thank you Gabby.
